Tengboche Gompa is situated under Kangtega & Thamserku mountains. The people are Sherpas. Kalapatthar Heli Trek Everest region Kalapatthar-which means black rock, is barely 5kms from the Everest Base Camp & is 5545mtrs. Above mean sea level. Annapurna Sanctuary-heli Trek The temperature & sub-alpine zones are engulfed in 30 species or rhododendrons with magnificent blooms in spring, lending a splash of colors from white, pink, & Yellow. This region has wide varieties of monkeys & Birds. Helambu Valley Heli Trek Helambu,75 miles North of Kathmandu is inhabited by Sherpas, whose language, culture & dress differ sharply from Sholukhumbu Sherpas. Kali Gandaki Valley Jomsom is situated in the upper Kaligandaki valley. Kaligandaki gorge is the world's deepest gorge & en-route you can feast on the splendorous views of Annapurna I, Nilgiri & Nilgiri south. In Marpha you can savour the apple cider & apricot brandy.
